Approximately 12 years ago I became aware of decreased hearing and was fit with one hearing aide. The aide was large and very noticeable. My hearing seemed even worse. Needless to say I was not pleased so discontinued use.

I work as a technician in a medical office and it is important that I hear the patients, doctors, and staff. I also was aware that I was always asking my grandchildren to repeat their conversations. When I saw patients with an aide I would ask where they were fit and Dr. Hetsko's name came up often.

Not only was my decreased hearing a concern but, I must admit, the cosmetic factor. Other factors were my lifestyle. I love to exercise, travel, listen to my radio on the walks with my dog, and ride roller coasters.

I finally let my pride take a backseat and made an appointment with Dr. Hetsko. It has now been over a year. I am extremely happy with the hearing results and the cosmetic appearance. I have found the doctor and his staff to be very professional and helpful. State of the art equipment was used both in the evaluation and fitting of my aides. Listening to my needs and reassessing my concerns have been addressed and resolved.

The hardest thing to accept is, yes, I am getting old. Do I hear everything? The answer is "NO" but no one does. These aides have definitely improved my everyday life. As natural as putting on my shoes.

I am so happy that I took that first step.

Dr. Hetsko has rendered excellent hearing care for me for 16 plus years of my 60 plus years of wearing hearing aids. He is caring, informed, and diligent in assessing my individual needs to enhance my quality of life. I am an 86 year old woman with a long term moderate to profound hearing loss.
